Larry Jones was born in Columbus, Ohio to John and Millie Jones.  He was raised in Omaha, Nebraska, graduating from Westside High School in 1971.  He attended Kearney State College and the University of Nebraska at Omaha.  He then went to the University of Nebraska Medical School, graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Medicine, and a Medical Doctorate degree in 1977.  After finishing his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1981, he moved to Kearney, where he has maintained a thriving practice.  He has two children:  Katie and Jonathan.  His interests are golf, woodworking, and racing a Super-Comp. dragster in NHRA competition.  He recently became married to Alabama native, Sandra.

Dr. Jones is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (F.A.C.O.G.).
